James Jacko was born in Wikwemikong, Ontario in 1968.

His powerful images conjure up a power transference from the Creator to the animal subject in his art. His style is the most Outsider of the Anisinabe artists. He captures that spark, that instant, when the power is released and connects with the Heavens.
